Bombs And Balloons: Gas cylinder explodes, injuring seven
No case has been registered as it was an accident.
KARACHI:
A balloon seller and six children were wounded in a gas cylinder explosion in the Macchar Colony area of the Docks on Tuesday. Following the explosion, law enforcers arrived at the site. The bomb disposal squad also reached the site and collected evidence. Bomb disposal experts, while ruling out the possibility of terrorism after a thorough inspection of the blast site, said that the blast was caused by the gas cylinder used to fill balloons. The injured balloon seller, identified as 62-year-old Muhammad Yousuf and six children, including six-year-old Samair, seven-year-old Hameeda Buksh, eight-year-old Bilal, seven-year-old Eesha and eight-year-old Yasin, were shifted to the Civil Hospital, Karachi. Doctors said that three of the children were also admitted to the burns ward of the hospital. No case has been registered as it was an accident.
