Karachi doctor attacked inside OPD

Doctor critically injured in knife attack, taken to operation theater for medical assistance.

KARACHI: In a brutal knife assault, an unidentified man on Tuesday attacked a doctor inside the out patient department (OPD) of Civil Hospital, Karachi, Express News reported.

Dr Maqsood was checking a patient in the OPD when the attacker made his way inside the room, stabbed the doctor in the neck three times and then escaped.

The doctor was critically injured in the attack and was taken to the operation theater for medical assistance.

SP Shiraz said police have started their investigation and also questioned the hospital staff.
