Dengue treatment: 62 doctors to receive special training

LAHORE: Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Anjum Habib Vohra said on Sunday that 62 newly appointed house officers would be trained in dengue treatment as part of their service. “A health education programme at PGMI is underway to train doctors from the level of rural health centres to teaching hospitals about issues related to dengue. Doctors from Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Attock, DG Khan, Bhakkar and Bahawalnagar have already received training under the programme,” he told a meeting at LGH. Vohra said doctors, nurses and paramedics were being trained to implement standard operating procedures to tackle dengue. He said seminars and training workshops would be arranged to sensitise the public about preventive measures.
