Red book listing: FIA nabs most wanted human trafficker

FIA’s director in Punjab says accused was arrested from Kharian, wanted in a number of cases.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested on Friday a most wanted human trafficker whose name was placed on its red book for the year 2013-2014, The Express Tribune has learnt.


FIA’s director in Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that accused Muhammad al Karim alias Mian Amraiz, a resident of Kharian tehsil, Gujrat district, had been arrested by FIA from Kharian. He added that the name of the accused, wanted in a number of cases, was placed on the FIA red book at Serial No 53.


On the other hand, a raid was conducted by FIA at a hotel in Faisalabad and recovered 11 Pakistani passports and medical certificates from the possession of Muhammad Amir Sohail. FIA arrested the accused over charges of sending people illegally to Bahrain, an FIR of the arrest has been registered at the FIA Anti Human Trafficking Circle police station Faisalabad.
