ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi has sought replies from the secretary establishment and finance over the non-promotion of teachers of Islamabad model colleges. Earlier, the court had ordered Establishment Secretary Nadeem Hassan Asif and Finance Secretary Waqar Masood Khan to promote grade 16 officials of model colleges to grade 17. Liaquat Ali and Muhammad Khalil, among nine other petitioners, informed IHC that the federal services tribunal and another court had ordered the government to promote Islamabad model colleges officials from grade 16 to 17 but the order had yet to be implemented. The petitioners said this was a clear violation of court orders. The court then issued notices of contempt to the officials and sought their reply on the next hearing.
