In a bid to make commercial plots in D-12 Markaz more attractive for investors, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will soon initiate carpeting of roads in the sector.

CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal directed initiating work after visiting the sector on Thursday along with officials of the estate, engineering and administration wings of the authority.

The CDA has allocated Rs200 million for the development of Sector D-12 and another Rs50 million for the development of D-12 Markaz in this financial year.

Sector D-12 was opened by the CDA over 20 years ago, but development work has yet to be initiated.
