Roof collapse: One killed, two injured in Malakand

DARGAI: A girl was killed and two others injured when the roof of a house in Skha Kot area of Malakand collapsed on Thursday. An official at Kooper levies check post, Sherzada, said the incident took place early morning in Shah Kalay on the outskirts of Dargai. He explained that due to a heavy downpour the previous night, family members of Bacha Khan and his brother Raza Khan were sleeping in the verandah. Their families were trapped in the rubble when neighbours rushed to the site and tried to remove the debris. They managed to pull out Bacha’s wife and daughter, along with a girl identified as Raza’s daughter Muniba. Muniba died on the way to the hospital while Zehra and Sajid were taken to Dargai Tehsil Headquarters Hospital from where they were referred to a hospital in Peshawar.
