Section Officer of Cabinet Division Kaleem Ahmed Shehzad presented the documents before the Special Court during the hearing of the treason case against the former president today.
He also recorded his statement, in which he said that an officer of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) came to his office on December 4 last year and asked for the relevant documents including the verified copy of the proclamation of the emergency and the letter sent by President House Secretariat.
He added that these documents were given to the FIA officer.
Musharraf is facing treason charges for subverting and circumventing the Constitution by imposing emergency on November 3, 2007.
The federal government had also placed his name on the ECL, stating he might try to abscond.
On March 31, the ex-military man was formally charged for treason. Musharraf had rejected the charges levelled against him.
You can view the five charges levelled against him here.

@Anwar: Be truthful. What about women and children in Lal Masjid? According to the judicial commission no children and only one woman (that was the cleric's mother who chose to fight instead of leaving peacefully with the other women) were killed. Please stop the nonsensical propaganda of the Lal Masjid, as the truth is in front of the whole world.
@usman786:
Please show some maturity and informed judgement. You failed to consider that Musharaf wasn't alone , he had a parallel government running with him, a whole cabinet and functioning parliament. He had to consult the executive and legistiators working with him in all important matters. Yes he may be making ultimate decisions. The nation believes he was better than the current and previous politicians , at least he wasn't corrupt and in his rein the country was not as destitute and disarrayed as it is now. What we are witnessing is politics of personal vengeance not justice.
@Saira Ahmad: You mean his hand picked PM, Cabinet etc..? "Musharraf’s statement in media clearly revealed the fact that Proclamation of emergency was imposed after consultation with Prime Minister, Cabinet etc. And in a Parliamentary form of Govt. President is considered nominal head of State & he is bound to act on the advice of Cabinet and he can not refuse to do so. But in Treason Case the application of Article 6 Clause (2) & (3) is ignored "..
I think your readers are forgetting one important. The point is that there is a constitution in existence which clearly does not allow any military takeovers. Secondly, "Buck Stops Here" goes a saying. To involve others is merely a lame excuse. Everyone in high posts in the country swear that they will uphold the constitution. Did Musharraf violate the constitution? Let the courts decide. AND put an end to such actions in future.
ET at least you could upload some good image of Musharraf, not this one having mouth open. Have some respect, though he is suspect.
Musharraf is brave. He got scared only thrice. Kargil, call from US to join war on terror, Pakistan court. He's not at all afraid of women and children.. Remember lal masjid?
Gen Musharaf proved it again that he is true Pakistani citizen and now the Black seeps should abandoned the case of victimization and Mr Nawaz Shareef should not go for his personal ego to let down Pakistan Army’s dignity and the stop using the entire machinery for anti Pakistani purposes
The exercise of 58 2 (b) is not considered treason then why emergency is treason?
Musharraf is brave. He did everything in the best interests of the country and never looted a penny of the country He will come out clean Insha Allah God Bless him
Musharraf's statement in media clearly revealed the fact that Proclamation of emergency was imposed after consultation with Prime Minister, Cabinet etc. And in a Parliamentary form of Govt. President is considered nominal head of State & he is bound to act on the advice of Cabinet and he can not refuse to do so. But in Treason Case the application of Article 6 Clause (2) & (3) is ignored wilfully. The motive behind such ignorance is clear To target one person Musharraf and revenge. The Constitution clearly states that The Presidential Order to proclaim emergency can not be called in question in any Court of Law. It means that no Court including Supreme Court can exercise judicial review to examine the circumstances which leads the country towards emergency. And it is not considered a big issue when emergency is declared for a Province known as Governor Raj. The most important thing is that when 58 2(b) is used resulting in dissolution of Assemblies and Cabinet, no one declare it treason regardless of the Decisions of Supreme Court who declare the exercise of 58 2 (b) null and void, illegal and supra Constitutional then why we are creating havoc about 3rd November emergency?
Come on Mush, be brave and accept that it was your decision. Donot hide like AAZ
