New beginning: SCB appoints new CEO, board member
Standard Chartered’s franchise in Pakistan comprises 116 branches in 22 cities and over 191 ATMs and 18 CDMs.

Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Ltd Board of Directors announced the appointment of Shazad G Dada as chief executive officer (CEO) and board member. He will join SCB subject to regulatory approvals by October 2014. Shazad has over 20 years of experience in banking and was Barclays Bank Pakistan managing director and CEO for more than three years. He spent 15 years in Deutsche Bank in New York specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions before moving to Barclays Bank Pakistan. Commenting on his appointment SCB (Pakistan) Chairman of the Board of Directors Christos Papadopoulos said, “I am glad to welcome Shazad and confident that his leadership capabilities, international expertise and strong on-the-ground knowledge of the Pakistani market will bring additional strength to our management team.” Standard Chartered’s franchise in Pakistan comprises 116 branches in 22 cities and over 191 ATMs and 18 CDMs.
