MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Preity Zinta said that her police complaint against Ness Wadia is not “frivolous or immature” and that “my only fault is that I am a woman who reached a breaking point after constantly being abused, threatened and humiliated”.
Preity recently filed an FIR against her former beau Ness, alleging that he molested her. She wants the people to “have a little patience and wait for all the facts to come out”.
“This is not a frivolous or immature complaint to the police. I have never lied in the past and do not lie when it suits me or is convenient. I am a responsible citizen of this country and my only fault is that I am a woman, who reached a breaking point after constantly being abused, threatened and humiliated at work by someone who once was very dear to me,” the actor said in a post on her official Facebook page.
Raising her voice for women empowerment, she said: “Violence and aggression against women is wrong, yet people try to point fingers at the woman who comes out with it trying to make her sound frivolous and with an ulterior motive.
“My only motive is to fight for myself and this fight is not against any family but an individual. If the media found out about my complaint and it became a big deal what can I do about it? Did I call for a press conference? No, I did not. I actually asked people and the media to respect my privacy.”
She reiterated that her “motive is not to harm anyone but only to protect myself”.

I have nothing against Zinta and Ness Wadia but because she made a police complaint... I hope the matter should resolve quickly in the court and it should not be a long journey for her.
In our country conviction rate for an accused is on the lower rate.

But how do you define a guy picking your hand up from your seat to make you stand and turning you to yell at you demeaning your status and class in society,ridiculing name calling you in front of cameras and 200 people as as sexual molestation? Something is seriously wrong with our laws. We should have provision that correctly defines it "abuse" and "humiliation". No doubt ness wadia had no right to demean her and her character as nothing in front of rich business tycoon. There's no justification for being angry over you didn't get a seat and remove it on preity for sitting cosyly and enjoy match with friends, making him stand. That doesn't mean he go on insult rampage. These elite class thinks rest are poppers who should offer them their seats and stand themselves. But how and were does sexual molestation which is now turned into stalking arise?
