Targeted: Blast destroys gate of a house

JAMRUD: The main gate of a house was destroyed in Ghundi area of Jamrud tehsil when an explosive device planted by unidentified armed men went off early Tuesday morning. However, no human loss was reported in the incident. According to an official of the political administration, a bomb planted at the main gate of Haji Wilayat Sikandarkhel’s house exploded around 2am. He said the gate was completely destroyed due to the impact of the blast. Residents also panicked as the sound of the explosion was heard till far away. The area was cordoned off soon after. He added a search operation was launched in the area, but no arrests were made till this report was filed. Meanwhile, officials of the security forces initiated a search operation in Chapri area of the tehsil and claimed to have arrested two suspects.
