The wrong spirit: Staff caught drinking liquor at school

The student told his mother that the teachers and other staff were consuming alcohol and the mother called the place.

MULTAN: Police caught two teachers and two administrative officials reportedly drinking alcohol on the premises of a government high school in Nurpur, Pakpattan, on Monday. A student’s mother had called the police and complained about the staff. Malka Hans police told The Express Tribune that students had been called in for a summer camp at the school. One of the students who went to school on Monday was informed by a group of teachers and officials, who he said were drinking alcohol, that the school was off for the day. The student told his mother that the teachers and other staff were consuming alcohol and the mother called the place. Malka Hans police raided the school and arrested teachers Junaid Ghaffar and Muhammad Sarwar and clerical staff Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Fareed consuming liquor.
