Brutal attack: 14-year-old girl raped, suspect arrested

FAISALABAD: A 14-year-old girl was raped by a man on Saturday. Chak Jhumra police said they had arrested the suspect. Muhammad Amjad, a relative of the victim, said that she was returning home from a bazaar when the accused overpowered her and took her to nearby fields. “When the girl started screaming, farmers in the nearby fields gathered there. The rapist fled from the scene,” Amjad said. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. City Police Officer Dr Haidar Ashraf said a police team, headed by Chak Jhumra SHO Amir Mushtaq, had arrested the accused.
