SSC result: Impressive scores…but it’s only the first step

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday announced the result for the Secondary School Certificate.


Of the 57,420 regular candidates who appeared in the exam, 52,084 candidates were declared successful, a ratio of 90.71 per cent. While of the 20,119 private and former candidates, 7,815 candidates passed the exam with a pass percentage of 38.84. The overall average pass percentage of all regular and private candidates stood at 77.25 percent.

In the science group, Hamza Siddique of Army Public School and College, Bahawalpur Cantt, clinched first position by obtaining 1,031 marks out of 1,050, while Miral Saleem of Fazaia Inter College, Lahore Cantt stood second by obtaining 1,030 marks and Ammar Khawar of Army Public School and College Sargodha Cantt, secured third position by obtaining 1,029 marks.



In the humanities group, Kalsoom Tariq of Sheikh Rashid Al-Makhtoom Pakistan School Dubai, clinched first position by obtaining 969 marks out of 1,050. While Moaviya Naseer of Institute of Islamic Sciences Satra Meel, stood second by obtaining 968 marks and Hajra Aamir of Quality School, Rawalpindi, secured third position by obtaining 958 marks.
