In recovery: MQM parliamentary leader in hospital

The party leadership denied the news later and insisted he was dehydrated.

KARACHI: A senior member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Syed Sardar Ahmed, who is also the party’s parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly was taken to Aga Khan Hospital on Friday for severe dehydration. “He is fine now and recovering gradually,” said party leader Nasir Jamal. He said that doctors have diagnosed Ahmed with gastroenteritis and he will be kept in the hospital till all the required tests are done and he has recovered completely. Earlier, television media reported that Ahmed was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and his body was paralysed. The party leadership denied the news later and insisted he was dehydrated.
