Youth Olympics camp to begin in Ramazan

28-30 players finalised by Pakistan Hockey Federation.

KARACHI: The national junior hockey camp came to a conclusion Friday in Karachi, and according to Olympian Tahir Zaman, a training programme for the Youth Olympics will commence on the second of Ramazan in Lahore.

“The training camp for the Youth Olympics will include 28-30 players, finalised by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), who will participate in the first phase,” Youth Olympics team head coach Zaman told The Express Tribune, adding that only players below the age of 18 could be inducted in the team.

“More than 20 U18 players have been selected from the junior camp, while the rest were shortlisted from the recent junior championship held in Karachi. The Pakistan youth squad will comprise 10 members, and rest will go back to Karachi to start the second phase of the junior training camp.” The 2014 Youth Olympics are scheduled to be held in Nanjing, China, from August 16-28.

I love hockey wih them good luck . Really Pakistan need hocky to make its good image in world. I wish Pak can win all titles in Hockey
