Karachi airport attack: PM announces jobs for heirs of deceased ASF personnel

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif announced on Thursday to provide jobs for the legal heirs of the Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel killed in the Karachi airport attack.

The prime minister also presented financial support cheques to the families of the victims at a ceremony at the PM House in Islamabad.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Aviation Captain (retd) Shujaat Azeem, Aviation Secretary Muhammad Ali Gardezi and ASF Director General Brigadier Muhammad Azam were present on the occasion.

While acknowledging the sacrifices of the ASF martyrs, Nawaz said, "They laid down their lives saving their motherland and their sacrifices will not go in vain."

"We stand by you in your hour of sadness," he told the bereaved families.

“These martyrs safeguarded our national assets with their blood and made the whole nation proud."

While condemning the terrorist attacks, he said the security of all airports had already been tightened and steps were being taken to upgrade logistic and technical support to further enhance security to avoid such incidents in future.

Giving job to survivor of died-at-work Govt employee was an already established policy in use from years in many Govt Depts... Nothing new about that. Giving them piece of land and 10lakh cash would help women & young children of diseased.
