Initiative: Drive to improve lives of street kids

ISLAMABAD: Fun City, a family fun park, has been teaching the street children that they do not have to turn to wrong paths to have good things in life. Located in the Centaurus mall, Fun City has held a number of activities under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign ‘One Good Heart’, teaching the less-privileged children importance of life and their role in the society. Celebrities including the British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan have visited the park to spend time with the street children engaged in the campaign. The One Good Heart campaign has been successful in teaching the disadvantaged children that they have equal rights as anyone in Pakistan and that they can realise their dreams if they work hard enough. The campaign, which aimed at making children feel good about themselves, was carried out in collaboration with the ‘Lettuce Bee Kids’, an organisation working to reintegrate street children into the society.
