Rest in peace: Funeral prayers held for chopper pilots

Their bodies have been sent for burial to their families in Jhang and Lahore.

MULTAN: The funeral prayers for two army officials who passed away in a helicopter crash on Wednesday night were held at the Multan Garrison on Thursday. Their bodies have been sent for burial to their families in Jhang and Lahore. The Met Office reported that there was a windstorm with winds reaching 70 km/h in the area on Wednesday night. Major Yasir and Captain Murtaza who were on a night training mission when their Cobra helicopter got caught in the windstorm. The officers tried to land the chopper on the Multan Airport runway but the helicopter crashed and exploded on impact. Both officials died instantly.
