KARACHI:

Pakistan’s Mohammad Sajjad stormed into the last-32 phase after thumping Australia’s Steve Donohue 4-0 in their IBSF 6-Red World Championship last-64 match in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.

Sajjad won with an emphatic scoreline of 38-18, 41-0, 49-0 and 68-0. Earlier, Asian 6-Red Champion Mohammad Asif crashed out of the tournament after losing his last-64 match 4-1 against Wales’ Jamie Clark.

Clark drew first blood by winning the first frame by 13 points but Asif hit back to draw parity, making it 1-1.

That was all the resistance that Asif could offer in the match, as Clark won with scores of 25-38, 42-28, 27-52, 6-62 and 7-37.
