Bahria Town has announced a package of Rs500 million for people, internally displaced due to Zarb-e-Azb military operation in North Waziristan. They have also requested the Pakistan Army and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government to hand over the entire responsibility of the IDP camps to Bahria Town.
Talking to reporters, Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain offered full support for the IDPs and has intimated that Bahria Town would take full responsibility of providing all the basic facilities –food, healthcare and education – to the IDPs.
Hussain also mentioned that an account has been set up by Bahria Town to manage these funds, with an initial amount of Rs500 million, which would be extended to Rs5 billion. He spoke of the upcoming month of Ramazan and Eid and expressed his willingness to provide all the additional support during the holy month as well.
“If I am given the chance, everyone will see that I will take care of these IDPs in the same manner as I take care of my own children,” he said as he offered other businessmen to join hands with him in these relief efforts.
He said for getting help in connection with IDPs, Bahria Town Relief Operations’ chief Brigadier (retd) Tahir could be contacted on 0332-9006788.

Read the article again, the first donation is Rs 500 million, the total sum donated will be 5 billion.
Then slowly and quitely the money will start seeping into off shore accounts. Until a disgruntled whistle blower,..who did not get his full "commission" will start his revenge. By that time the money will be long hidden away..... Who?....Me? This is Pakistan after all.
5 billion is not equal to 500 million.
Please hand over all of our cities to Malik Riaz. He will make them livable.
