Guilty As Charged: Two sentenced to life, two acquitted

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday sentenced two murder convicts to life imprisonment and acquitted two by giving them the benefit of doubt. The judge also fined the two convicts, Usman and Abdur Raheem, Rs200,000 each. They will have to undergo additional imprisonment of six months in case of non-payment of fine. The judge acquitted Arif and Siraj Din giving them the benefit of doubt. Police said Waseem Aslam, a shopkeeper, had forbidden Usman and Abdur Raheem from visiting his shop after which they killed him. Muhammad Aslam, father of the deceased, had filed a complaint with Mughalpura police station.
