Pakistan have been seeded fifth and will be up against the 28th-seed duo of Hassan Kerde and Steve Donohue.
The national team came into the last-32 round after remaining undefeated in four group matches. Asif and Sajjad beat Libya 5-0 without breaking a sweat in the singles frame as well as the double frame in their last group match, and won with a score-line of 76-05, 89-07, 64-11, 84-17 and 74-34.
Meanwhile, Asian 6-Red Champion and former IBSF World Champion Asif will play in the last-96 phase of the 6-Red World Championship against Egypt’s Mostafa Gabaley for a place in the last-64.
On the other hand, Sajjad directly qualified for the last-64 round after winning all of his group matches.
