An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday granted pre-arrest bail to Pearl Continental (PC) hotel General Manager Haseeb Gardezi and Operations Senior Vice President Bashir Adrawl. Irshad Butt, a former employee of the PC had alleged that he had placed his wife’s jewellery in two lockers provided to him by the hotel. Later, he filed an FIR against the two men for barring his wife from accessing the lockers. Butt claimed the jewellery was worth Rs30 million. He feared that the accused had stolen the jewellery. Gardezi and Adrawl were granted bail against bonds worth Rs50,000 each.
