More Healing Hands: General Hospital inducts 62 doctors

Dr Vohra urged the doctors to perform their duties with dedication.

LAHORE: The Lahore General Hospital (LGH) selected 62 doctors as house officers on Tuesday. The recruitments have been made under the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) rules. The selection panel, comprising LGH Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Dr Anjum Habib Vohra, LGH Medical Superintendent Dr Imtiaz Ahmad and professors of various departments, selected the doctors after interviewing 146 candidates. The selected doctors will assume their responsibilities on July 1.  Dr Vohra said the new physicians and surgeons had been selected on merit and would be given stipends on a monthly basis. He expressed the hope that the new doctors would enhance the service standards at the hospital. Dr Vohra urged the doctors to perform their duties with dedication.
