Mosquito season: Swat reports second dengue case

Infected patient identified as Arifullah who was brought to the hospital from Charbagh.

MINGORA: A patient in Swat was diagnosed with dengue fever on Tuesday, making him the second patient reported so far this year. According to an official at Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH), the infected patient has been identified as Arifullah who was brought to the hospital from Charbagh. The official said Arif was admitted to Medical Ward B after being diagnosed as dengue-positive. Arif reportedly returned from a trip to Malaysia recently. Last year, more than 70 people died due to dengue in the district according to official sources, however, the unofficial count was said to be much higher.
