Motive unknown: Mother, daughter shot dead

The SHO said Taj Muhammad himself has been missing for a long time.

CHARSADDA: Two women of the same family were killed by unidentified armed men in the limits of Charsadda police station on Tuesday morning. According to SHO Ijaz Khan, unidentified men barged into Taj Muhammad’s house in Maira Utmanzai around 9am and opened fire at his wife and daughter. Fifty-year-old Sabzala and her daughter 21-year-old Shaista died on the spot. The killers fled from the house after the shooting. The SHO further said Taj Muhammad himself has been missing for a long time. Police lodged an FIR against the unidentified culprits on the complaint of Nasir Durrani, brother of the deceased Sabzala. An investigation is under way.
