Roaring back: Protest politics unjustified says Shahbaz

Sharif said in the current scenario, politics of protest was completely unjustified.

LAHORE: The government and people of the Punjab stand united with the displaced people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday. He has instituted a relief fund for internally displaced people and the Punjab government donated Rs500 million to it. The CM, provincial ministers and MPAs have also contributed one month salary towards the fund. Sharif said the entire nation was standing behind the Pakistan Army and victims of terrorism. He urged the affluent to contribute generously towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Sharif said Pakistan was at a crossroads in history and was facing internal and external security challenges. Sharif said terrorism would be exterminated and Pakistan would be transformed into a cradle of peace and harmony. He said the PML-N was working tirelessly towards transforming Pakistan into a welfare state.  Sharif said in the current scenario, politics of protest was completely unjustified and was impeding progress and development. He said protest politics should be eschewed in greater national interest.
