Bovine accident: Seven buffaloes electrocuted

The owner of the buffaloes, Irshad Narejo, said that live electric wires had fallen down and nobody was aware of it.

Seven buffaloes were electrocuted in Izzat Ji Wandh village on Sunday night within the limits of Ketty Mumtaz police Station.


The owner of the buffaloes, Irshad Narejo, said that live electric wires had fallen down and nobody was aware of it. His seven buffaloes were grazing when they received severe electric shocks from these wires and died in on the spot.

Several members of the Narejo tribe held a protest demonstration in their village and accused the Sukkur Electric Power Company offiicals of installing poor quality wires. They demanded the government take action against the power company otherwise they would go to court.
