KARACHI: Sindh will defend its title at the 16th National Boys Age Group Swimming Championship that starts today at PNS Karsaz.

Around 150 athletes will take part in 47 events across under-12, under-14 and under-16 categories in the tournament, organised by the Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF).

Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force will also vie for the title. The four provincial teams and Pakistan Navy will also compete for the PSF under-16 Water Polo Championship. “We’re holding the water polo event along with the swimming championship since it’ll save time and money because all the teams are in Karachi,” PSF President Majid Waseem told The Express Tribune.
