Offering help: ANP to support displaced persons
“We demand strict action against all elements of militancy” Leader said.
KARACHI:
The Awami National Party (ANP) on Friday said that it would welcome the internally displaced people (IDP) from Waziristan in Sindh and demanded that the government ensure foolproof security on the border areas. Sindh ANP general secretary Younus Boneri said that the government should not put a ban on the entrance of the IDPs from Waziristan, adding that the ANP will support them. Boneri also said that the ANP has been receiving threats from militants on a daily basis. “We demand strict action against all elements of militancy but we would never support a ban on the entry of IDPs,” he said.
