KARACHI: Two helplines, along with an email address, have been established to receive information for rapid action against suspicious persons. This is an initiative of the home secretary Dr Niaz Ali Abbasi, who has asked the public to send messages and emails about suspicious activities to +92-(0)-304-382-0821, +92-(0)-213-820-821. He added that the purpose of these helplines is to ensure prompt action in foiling the nefarious designs of the terrorists and criminals. The law enforcement agencies are well-equipped and available to provide a rapid response to the messages and emails. Abbasi said that the government was taking adequate measures to counter terrorism. He requested the citizens to help the government in its efforts against the culprits in the province.
