KARACHI:

Presidents of all Chambers of Commerce and Industry across Pakistan, while rejecting the revision in Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC), said that they will continue to protest against the unjust move until the government announces its complete withdrawal.

According to a statement, all chambers of commerce across the country have strongly opposed GIDC and they remain united against such anti-business initiatives.

All chambers are of the view that Gas Infrastructure Development Cess would make the business community uncompetitive in the region and would result in flight of capital.

They said that imposition of GIDC would prove to be disastrous for the industry and terribly affect Pakistan’s exports.
