The police arrested 21 people for swimming in the Rakh Branch Canal on Monday. A police spokesman said the local administration had banned swimming in the canal and banners had been put up along the banks of the canal informing people not to venture into the water. He said police arrested Waseem Akram, Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Ilyas, Sher Muhammad, Ghulam Jilani, Rafaqat Ali, Abdur Rasheed, Muhammad Adeel, Muhammad Mubeen, Muhammad Ahsan, Muhammad Tahir, Kashif, Muhammad Jameel, Ghulam Shabbir, Ghulam Mujtaba, Gulfam, Micahal, Riaz, Iftikhar Ali, Saif Ali, Shehzad for bathing in the canal.
