Four injured in a blast near under construction check post in Peshawar

The blast took place near the Ghazi Baba police post on Ring Road, said police.

PESHAWAR: At least Four people were injured in a blast near an under construction police post on Ring Road in the jurisdiction area of Bana Marhi police station in Peshawar on Sunday night.

Police said that the blast took place near the Ghazi Baba police post on Ring Road which is under construction.

“Two chowkidars are injured in the blast and the building has been completely destroyed,” said an official of the local police station while talking to The Express Tribune.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Faizia, however, told The Express Tribune that they had shifted four injured to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).

Police said that they had called the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team to inspect the site of the explosion.
