LAHORE: The investigation police on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang including three police constables in Shahdara. They had been involved in robbing expatriates in the Allama Iqbal Airport’s vicinity. Police said Constables Muhammad Adeel, Kaleem Irshad and Ali Akbar would intercept expatriates near the airport on the pretext of checking their luggage and passports and take away cash and valuables from them. They said that the constables had confessed to committing at least 17 robberies. A motorcycle and three pistols were seized from them.
