Football: Women’s event to begin June 21

The top two teams from Lahore in Group A and A2 will qualify for the final round.

The sixth National Inter-Club Women Football Championship will kick-off with 16 teams in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad on June 21.


The event will take place in a league format with five groups. Lahore Fighter Women FC, Shaheen Women FC and Fata Women FC will compete in Group A, while Group A2 will feature Model Town FC, Peshawar’s Frontier Women FC and Sialkot’s CJM Soccer Club. Diya Women FC, Karachi Women FC, Women Star FC and Winning Stars Women FC will form Group B, while Group C includes Balochistan United FC, Young Rising Stars FC from Layyah and Vehari United. Young Rising Star Women FC Islamabad, Margala Women FC and Soccer Queen Women FC will play in Group D.


The top two teams from Lahore in Group A and A2 will qualify for the final round, while the winning team from the remaining groups will book their spot in the main round.
