Ominous warning: Peace committee member’s body found

BARA: The body of a peace committee member was found in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency early Sunday morning. An official of the political administration said the body was discovered near a water pump in Mada Khel area of Akakhel and was yet to be identified. A letter written in Pushto was also found beside the body, warning residents that “those who don’t obey the commander will meet the same fate.” The official said the deceased had been tortured and then shot dead. No group claimed responsibility for the incident till the filing of this report.
