SHABQADAR:

In Mohmand Agency, 49,238 children have been given polio drops during a vaccination campaign. In charge of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation in the agency, Dr Shabbir, said health staff with the assistance of political administration officials have administered polio drops to children. “There is no no-go area in the agency.”

He added this was why no polio case has been reported in the agency in the past two years as compared to other agencies with high cases of the crippling disease. “Residents cooperate with health staff and political administration officials and cases of refusal are rare.”
