Personal reasons: AJK opposition member resigns

Dr Ashraf did not respond to calls made on her cell phone.

MUZAFFARABAD: An opposition member of  the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly quit her seat on Friday. Dr Fouzia Ashraf of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, was elected to the assembly on Kashmiri refugee’s rserved seat from Lahore. While submitting her resignation to the AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker Sardar Ghulam Sadiq, the MLA mentioned ‘personal reasons’ behind the decision. Sources in the PML-N AJK chapter told The Express Tribune that Dr Ashraf has been offered a job in the Punjab health department with a special salary package.  Dr Ashraf did not respond to calls made on her cell phone to get her version on the resignation issue.
