CSF fund reimbursements are on track, US assures Pakistan

Olson further assures Dar that the US would continue to maintain partnership with Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: The US on Friday assured Pakistan that reimbursements on account of the Coalition Support Funds are on track.

The assurance was given during a meeting between US Ambassador Richard Olson and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Friday.

Dar and Olson also discussed bilateral economic issues and cooperation between the two countries including over the Dasu Hydro power project at the World Bank, the CASA-1000 power transmission project and the Diamer-Bhasha Dam.

Olson further assured Dar that the US would continue to maintain partnership with Pakistan and will work for peace and stability in the region, adding that the US was looking forward to enhancing existing relations in all areas of mutual interest.

The meeting was also attended by Shahid Mahmood Special Assistance to Finance Minister and senior officials of the Ministry.

Woah! Just look at the body language of the two; feet and hands. Separately speaking, if someone in the media monitoring section of the mighty US Embassy is reading this, could you please inform the ambassador that in Asian cultures feet do not point towards a person. I'm sure he misplaced his State Department booklet on cultural nuisances.

The body language between the two just shows why Dar will do anything to get funds in short term and create a bubble in long run.
