Bank heist: Robbers make off with Rs4.3 million

The police have registered a robbery case against unknown persons.

Robbers looted Rs4.35 million from a bank in Wah Cantonment area in the precinct of Saddar police station on Friday.


The police said four persons pretending to be customers entered the bank at about 10:20am and snatched weapons, a rifle and a pistol, from the two bank guards. Another masked man entered the bank and closed the main entrance.


Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tufail, the investigation officer of the case, says the robbers locked the bank staff in a room and made off with cash worth Rs4.35 million. They also injured a security guard who resisted them.


The police have registered a robbery case against unknown persons.


The police officer said robbers will be identified with help of the videos recorded by the CCTV cameras.
