Rightful owners: CM wants an end to encroachment
CM directed this while presiding over a meeting held at CM House on Wednesday.
KARACHI:
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, while expressing his dismay over the increasing trend of encroachment on government land, has directed a senior member of the Board of Revenue, Malik Israr Ahmed, to revive and strengthen the Special Anti-Encroachment Cell of the revenue department. The chief minister also directed the revenue board to expedite the process of regularisation of the villages surrounding Karachi, which were established centuries ago but their inhabitants are deprived of proprietary rights of the land on which they are residing. He also asked the senior member to submit a survey report regarding regularised and unregularised villages to him with immediate effect. He directed this while presiding over a meeting held at CM House on Wednesday.
