Music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who has garnered local and international acclaim for his power-packed songs, launched his music album titled Back2Love in Dubai on June 9.

Back2Love was released at 12:00am on all digital stores as part of an extensive campaign. Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt unveiled the album in Dubai, according to IANS. Bhatt and Rahat have worked together in the former’s production ventures including Kalyug and Blood Money.

The album peaked at number one on the India Indi-Pop Charts on iTunes and number three on the overall iTunes India Charts, adding to the music legend’s bag of commercial acclaim. The album features 10 tracks including collaborations with Indian musicians such as composer duo Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant and a duet with singer Shreya Ghoshal.

Rahat shared that while some songs in the album are reworks of “old bandishes,” a few have been composed by Rahat himself, reported the Indian Express. The music video of lead track Zaroori Tha features the couple of Bigg Boss fame Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon. The video was officially launched on YouTube and is being aired on India’s television music channel 9XM.

It also gained attention on the Punjabi music network PTC Networks under its world premiere showcase and is hitting nearly 40 to 50 plays by users per day. An exclusive interview of Rahat was aired on India’s FM station Radio City the morning of the launch. Rhythm House, a mega music store located in Mumbai, London, New York and Dubai also has the album set on its display window.

We hope that Rahat’s album continues to spread love amid despair as it promises to.
