Two girls passed away from burn injuries in two incidents on Sunday. Two year-old Basma, a resident of Main Bazaar, Sanda, was playing in the kitchen at home.
She accidently fell on a stove on which milk had been put to boil. The scalding milk fell on her and she was seriously burnt. She was taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Separately, Zakia, 12, a resident of Multan Road, received burn injuries after her clothes caught fire. She was taken to a hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries.
