Rising crime: Robbers shoot, injure victim

A man was shot and injured while resisting a robbery.

RAWALPINDI: A man was shot and injured while resisting a robbery bid near Holy Family Hospital (HFH) while armed robbers snatched jewelry from two women in Millat Colony, said police official on Saturday. According to police, Munir Butt was going home on his motorcycle when four robbers intercepted him near HFH, in the New Town area, and tried to snatch money from him. Butt was shot and injured by the robbers upon resistance. Rescue 1122 shifted him to HFH. In the second incident, two robbers on a motorcycle intercepted two women near the wood stall in Millat Colony and snatched their jewelry on gunpoint. Waris Khan police officials reached the spot and started investigating A case had not been registered till the time this report was filed.
