Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has welcomed the Dong Fang Electric Corporation (DEC) for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its counterpart organisation J-Energy SSRL at a local hotel in Karachi to set up two coal-based power plants each with the capacity of 220MW at Port Qasim Karachi.
Shah revealed this while holding a meeting with the delegation of Dang Fang Electric Corporation (DEC) at CM House on Thursday.
“This mutual interest of the organisations would not only bring hundreds millions of dollars worth of investment in Sindh, but will also cater to Thar coal as well.”
The chief minister assured the Chinese power generating organisation for full administrative facilities to help ensure timely completion.

@observer: Read His Other Posts in Other News Items You Will Know Why I Said What I Said
@shah: why does he have to be an Indian to point these things out? He is absolutely correct about suggesting the massive amount of corruption that will be taking place due to the absence of a bidding process and due to the lack of transparency of how these projects will be realized. At the end of the day, we all need to realize that Pakistan has no friends or foes, everyone acts based on their interests. No use in propogating this emotional "China is our best friend" slogan. We should make sure that anything and everything that happens in Pakistan is in our interest as a nation.
@unbelievable: Ever Asked Yourself How Idiotic Your Questions Are or How Pessimistic You Are To The Point Of Being Mentally Challenged and Most Of All Ever Asked Yourself At What Point You Will Have The Guts To Admit You Are An Indian Who Is Sleepless Over Growing Pak China Cooperation
Ever ask yourselves why all your power plants are built by China which is famous for corruption/kickbacks? Ever ask yourselves why you never read an article which talks about the bidding process on any Chinese project or how these projects are going to be paid for or their impact on rates charged to consumers? Lastly - anyone consider how Thar Coal can be used when there is no operating Thar Coal mine, no railway to/from Thar, or that the vast majority of Thar Coal has such a low BTU content that it has to be burned onsite?
Long Live Pak China Friendship
That is good, Sindh Govt also got in contact with Chinese Companies to help Sindh in Power projects. China a real friend of Pakistan helping Pakistan in many fields. Pakistan Govt also need to get help from China to handle the terrorism
