MQM chief to go through angiography

Addressing a press conference on early Friday, MQM deputy convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said MQM Chief Altaf Hussain contacted the MQM International Secretariat in London from the hospital and informed that he would taken for the angiography in a while, Express News reported.

While talking to coordination committee and workers, the MQM chief has requested party workers and public to pray for his health, said Siddiqui.

Altaf Hussain urged the party workers to remain united in these testing times.

Former Pakistan’s High Commissioner to London Wajid Shamsul Hassan, former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain and Israr Hussain, brother of the MQM Chief, were also present at the London secretariat.

Talking to Altaf Hussain, Dr Asim conveyed the good wishes of former president Asif Ali Zardari to him.

MQM coordination committee also announced a ‘day of prayer’ for the well-being of Altaf Hussain.
