PESHAWAR: The Gulbahar police, under the supervision of DSP Sahibzada Sajjad, in a search and strike operation arrested 17 people on Thursday in Afridi Garhi and surrounding areas. One of the suspects is a proclaimed offender. The police also recovered two pistols, 17 cartridges and narcotics from their possession. Police officials also said 22 vehicles were checked with the help of the SIM-verification system but they were found to be legit. “The operation was conducted as part of the city-wide operation for which the entire district has been divided in five zones by the police and each day an operation will be conducted,” said a police official. He said those arrested were shifted to the Gulbahar police station and FIRs were registered.
