Appreciation: Lawmakers hail new budget

Lawmakers said the budget had a sizable allocation for energy sector to end load shedding.

MNA Muhammad Khan Daha and MPA Haji Nishat Ahmad Khan Daha on Tuesday lauded the federal government for presenting a “people-friendly budget” for the fiscal year 2014-15. In a statement, they said the government should be appreciated for fixing minimum wage at Rs12,000, raising pensions and salaries, introducing reforms in railways and announcing the Karachi-Lahore motorway project. They said the budget clearly reflected the needs of the people. They said the budget had a sizable allocation for energy sector to end load shedding. They praised the government for increasing the allocation for the income support programme, and introducing new projects in infrastructure, health and education sectors.
